Having grown up with a father who was always remodeling, Waukita has always been intrigued with the housing industry. After working with buyers and sellers for seven years, she took a staff position as the Assistant Team Leader in the Memorial Market Center and turned her focus toward supporting the agents. She also spends much of her free time working on HomeSaver Projects, an affiliation of the Private Sector Initiative, where she enjoys helping to renovate homes for elderly families in the Houston area who are on fixed incomes. Prior to getting into real estate, she also owned and operated a home decorating/design business and additionally, spent many years in the oil and gas industry where she developed tremendous organizational and negotiating skills. With a background in design and construction, coupled with her love of working with people, Waukita has a great deal of insight to offer, and is always anxious to assist new clients with any real estate needs they may have. When she isn't exploring Houston neighborhoods with clients, Waukita enjoys antique shopping in the Historical Heights District, as well as other secret Houston spots. She and her husband Joe, live in Historic Heights District with her son and three labradors. Licensed as a Member of the Texas Real Estate Commission, National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and Houston Association of Realtors.
